智能紧急呼叫功能确保由训练有素的工作人员全天候提供快速、有针对性的援助。即使身处异国他乡，也能够用驾驶者的本国语言进行交流。

如果发生了触发安全气囊或安全带张紧器的事故，将自动进行智能紧急呼叫。车辆准确位置、事故严重程度以及可能发生的人员伤害风险等详细信息均会通过车辆内置的SIM卡（独立于私人移动电话）发送至BMW呼叫中心。BMW呼叫中心将通知最近的救援协调中心，并通过电话提供救援帮助，直到救援服务人员抵达现场。在有其他道路使用者需要帮助等情况下，也可手动启动紧急呼叫功能。
